Hi, I’m Jo Pinkney - I live and work in London, creating websites and supporting clients in the digital space on any size of business or project.
I’ve worked in digital project management since 2000 and I was part of the emap team (subsequently Bauer Media) that launched the first ever websites for music brands Q, Kerrang!, Smash hits, Mojo and Kiss Radio
Most recently I was Digital Lead at SevenC3 - a content marketing agency for clients including Sainsbury’s, Vitality and Fujitsu.
I believe that equal attention to creativity and efficiency results in the best possible outcome: I combine my love of art & design with attention to detail in scoping. Whatever your project or task, please get in touch for an informal chat.
Process
-
It’s important to know how to dissect a brief and ask the right questions. An RFP is not simply a check list, I need to understand how my client sees their world. Once KPIs are locked down, keeping track of internal and external costs and managing scope creep is key
-
Your Content Management System should be making your life easier, not more complicated - which is why choosing the right platform for the job is essential. PM tools like JIRA are equally important for managing an efficient workflow
-
Organisation of assets before the start of any project avoids un-necessary chaos and time-wasting. And when it comes to words, don’t lose your customer by over-egging the pudding! Concise, effective copy in the right voice achieves the most productive outcome
-
Bigger projects mean bigger teams, but even if your project is small-scale it’s rare you’ll be working completely alone. Keeping the team motivated and clear on goals, as well as managing time and output from designers and developers , impacts your final product and profitability
